Tillamook Coast RV Park

In Tillamook, Oregon, we recently completed our most ambitious project to date - a comprehensive expansion and upgrade of an existing RV park. Over six months, we transformed a 26-space facility into a fully improved 54-space park, doubling its capacity and enhancing its amenities.

Our scope of work included:

Site Preparation: Extensive grading and land clearing to accommodate new RV sites, with careful attention to drainage and leveling for full-hookup installations.
Utility Infrastructure: Comprehensive sewer, water, and power hookups were installed for each of the 54 RV sites, ensuring modern conveniences for all guests.
Amenity Construction: Built ADA-compliant bathrooms to improve guest comfort and accessibility.
Park Enhancements: Constructed various features including fences, decks, and other small structures to boost the park's functionality and visual appeal.

This project showcases our ability to handle large-scale RV park developments, combining technical expertise with attention to detail. The result is a significantly upgraded facility that will serve RV enthusiasts in Tillamook for years to come.

Cottonwood RV Park

In 2017, on the north side of Redmond, Oregon, I embarked on a transformative project that would shape my career in construction and excavation. My brother and I took on the ambitious task of converting a 3-acre plot, dotted with existing structures, into a state-of-the-art RV park designed to serve the growing needs of the Central Oregon community.

This project was more than just a job; it was a comprehensive learning experience in heavy equipment operation and large-scale development.

We tackled every aspect of the build:

Site Preparation: Clearing and grading the land to accommodate 55 RV spaces.
Utility Installation: Personally installing sewer, water, and power connections to each site.
Irrigation Systems: Designing and implementing irrigation throughout the park to support landscaping.
Landscaping: Planting and establishing greenery to create an inviting atmosphere.

Through hands-on work and determination, we transformed bare land into a fully-functional, 55-space RV park. This project honed my skills in heavy equipment operation and provided invaluable experience in comprehensive site development, from initial excavation to final landscaping touches.

This endeavor laid the foundation for my expertise in excavation and small-build projects, setting the stage for establishing Shannon Contracting.

35 Home Development in Bend, Oregon

In the fall of 2020, my brother and I embarked on an ambitious project to develop a 35-home residential community in Bend, Oregon. This comprehensive undertaking showcased our expertise in large-scale land development and infrastructure installation. Our work began with site preparation, carefully clearing the 5-acre lot of trees to make way for excavation. Using a combination of dozers, excavators, and dump trucks, we meticulously leveled the terrain following controlled blasting by a local specialist.

To maximize efficiency, we set up on-site crushing operations, producing thousands of yards of 3/4-minus gravel for future use. This forward-thinking approach ensured readily available materials for subsequent phases of the project.

A critical component of the development was installing a City of Bend-approved storm management system. To ensure effective drainage, we strategically placed three dry wells, catch basins, and manholes at key locations across the property.

The next phase involved the intricate task of utility installation. We meticulously laid out and installed:

City of Bend sewer lines
Conduit for electric, internet, and cable services
Gas line infrastructure

Finally, we graded the roads and sidewalks, preparing the way for specialized subcontractors to apply the finishing touches with precision grading equipment.

This project exemplifies our capability to handle complex, multi-faceted residential developments, from initial land clearing to comprehensive infrastructure installation
